THE WEDDING FEAST

JIM CRAFT

“The kingdom of heaven may be compared to a king who gave a wedding feast for his son. And he sent out his servants to call those who had been invited to the wedding feast, and they were unwilling to come. Again he sent out other servants saying, ‘Tell those who have been invited, “Behold, I have prepared my dinner; my oxen and my fattened livestock are all butchered and everything is ready; come to the wedding feast.”‘

Matthew 22:2-4

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Growing up on a farm in Michigan, Jim learned that every day is filled with many challenging opportunities for problem solving. Then, for 10 years Jim supported his family with his art in the beautiful Blue Ridge mountains of South Carolina. He successfully marketed ceramics, sculpture, and art to galleries, designed and produced ceramics for the High Point, NC furniture market, and secured commissions for paintings, murals, and architectural installations.

His work has been shown in many solo and invitational exhibitions. Some pieces have been purchased for permanent collections, including the South Carolina State Permanent Collection, at the State Museum, in Columbia, SC.

Jim has worked in nearly all traditional media: drawing, painting, ceramics, sculpture, and printmaking but has also done a number of projects and commissions in more exotic media as well.
