Artist statement: 

I admire the greatest Artist who created everything. Watching the world around me, I try to convey what I see and share with others, the beautiful creation. When I look at the sunset every day, I see that each time it is original and unique. And I just want to tell everyone around me, hey, wait, stop, see how great it is. And in my work I try to capture that moment, feelings, and emotions through color and composition. These moments may never happen again that is why they are so much more beautiful. Life is beautiful and so are you!

Biography:

I was born in a small village in Ukraine in the Luhansk region, where I grew up near a river and was a surrounded by beautiful nature, which constantly fascinated me. My parents noticed that I had a craving for art, and since a very early age I did not part with the brushes and paints. My parents encouraged me to go to a children’s art school where I studied there for five years after I graduated from the children’s art school. I then went to art college where I studied four more years.  My decision to become an artist was not just to master the profession of an artist, but it was a dedication to be an artist. I made paintings not only while I was painting or drawing, but even as I would be riding on the city bus to school I would notice interesting faces and would compose a painting in my minds eye and later transfer it to canvas. After college I finished mandatory military service for the former Soviet Unions. Served for two years on the Turkmen – Iranian border in the  calvary border patrol division. After military I got married and  we moved to the United  States, first to California then Alaska, Florida, and now South Carolina. These travels showed me the beauty of this planet and the One who created it. Though out the years of living in the United States I opened my Mural and Interior design company called Art on Walls. And last 30 years I’ve been painting from larger scale exterior murals to interior murals and wall finishes to create unique interior residential and commercial designs. Now I’m transition to fine art which was always my dream. I have discovered that my best expression of my artistic vision is through fine art oil painting, and other mediums.
